Macha has an opening for an Assistant Director of Payments, Risk, and Compliance. This employee will work on Macha’s Risk and Compliance team developing, delivering, and supporting our compliance services. This position will provide opportunities to utilize your knowledge and build your career by assisting Macha’s financial institution and corporate members solve their payments compliance issues.

Primary job responsibilities:

Qualifications:  Must be an AAP with experience in the financial industry to include an understanding of all the payment systems. There will be opportunities to obtain additional certifications over time. Our preferred candidate will live in the Wisconsin region, however remote work may be available for a strong candidate. We also offer an excellent comprehensive benefits package.

SUMMARY

Schedule and perform on-site ACH audits, ACH risk assessments and RDC Risk Assessments for association members, including writing and submitting audit reports or risk assessment reports to members.  Develop and enhance audit and risk assessment tools on an annual basis. Assist in developing existing and new publications for sale.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Member Audits—50%
    1. Perform ACH Audits for members in accordance with established procedures
      • Perform onsite testing of transactions, interview employees and conduct training on compliance as part of audit process
      • Conduct exit interview with the financial institutions designated Sr. Officers
      • Write audit report results to be reviewed by Vice President or President
      • Send completed audit report to member
    2. Perform ACH Risk Assessments for members in accordance with established procedures
      • Review policies and procedures, interview employees, and rate the risk of the financial institution for each major section of the assessment
      • Write a report of the results of the Risk Assessment and have it reviewed before it’s shared
      • Send the completed report to the member
    3. Track membership compliance with the ACH Audit Requirement,
  2. Assist in Publication creation and order fulfillment—25%
    1. With the Executive Vice President, prepare and update payment related Publications
  3. Support the members as needed—15%
    1. Answer member calls when needed
    2. Respond to emails and other member communication on a timely basis
  4. Committee responsibilities—5%
    1. Represent Macha as may be requested by association executives on other regional or national committees and/or workgroups
  5. Be involved in workshops and webinars on compliance topics as needed—5%
    1. Participate and conduct training sessions on Compliance services (audits and risk assessments) as needed

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Be involved miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as needed by management.
  2. Must work effectively and cooperatively with coworkers to ensure success.
