WACHA has available for purchase a wide variety of publications and marketing materials designed to help you educate the consumer and your staff on ACH and electronic payments in general. Some of these publications were developed by WACHA specifically with the needs of its membership in mind. For pricing and order information, download an order form. The following publications are available for purchase from WACHA:
- ACH Audit Guide
- The ACH Operating Rules require that every participant in the ACH Network perform an ACH audit by December 1st of each year. WACHA has available an ACH Audit Guide that takes you step-by-step through the audit process. This document is available in either a hard copy or online in an electronic format for ease in updating it. The Guide is updated annually to address all current requirements of the ACH Operating Rules. (Item #27(a)(b)on the WACHA Order Form)
- ACH Compliance Manual
- Written in plain English, this easy-to-understand manual is designed to help users apply the ACH Rules, and other pertinent regulations, to their organization. Each chapter addresses not only the NACHA Operating Rules, but also Regulation E, UCC Article 4A and 31 CFR Parts 203, 210 and 370 as applicable. "Helpful Compliance Tips" are included in each chapter, as well as a resource listing section and a glossary of terms and acronyms. (Item #2 on the WACHA Order Form)
- ACH Operating Rules
- All WACHA members automatically receive the newest version of the ACH Operating Rules each year when they renew their WACHA membership. Additional copies, if required, are available for purchase from WACHA. The ACH Operating Rules is the definitive source for the rules and regulations governing the ACH Network. Included is an ACH Rule Primer, the Federal Reserve Uniform Operating Circular, Regulation E and Official Staff Commentary, Electronic Funds Transfer Act, Federal Tax Deposit Payments and Title 31 CFR Parts 208 and 210. When you purchase the ACH Operating Rules you are also given a password to access the ACH Rules Online allowing full search and bookmarking capabilities. (Item #8 on the WACHA Order Form)
- ACH Operating Rules, Corporate Edition
- Similar to the complete ACH Operating Rules, this publication focuses on the rules and regulations and information which is specific to Corporate ACH payments and offers limited access to ACH Rules Online. This is the version of the Operating Rules that financial institutions would provide to their corporate customers. (Item #9 on the WACHA Order Form)
- ACH Procedures Manual Template
- Provided in an electronic format on a CD-ROM, this manual is designed to assist you with the creation and documentation of your internal ACH procedures. This fully customizable document contains an ACH Glossary of Terms, ACH Contact Information, Sample Policies, Exception Handling requirements and a template for documenting your internal procedures with regard to Risk Management, Reconcilement, Training, Contingency Planning and auditing from both the receiving and origination aspect. - ACH Procedures Manual Template for Frontline Staff
- Similar in layout to the regular ACH Procedures Manual template above, this template is designed to assist you with the creation and documentation of the internal ACH procedures specifically as they relate to your frontline staff. Like the regular ACH Procedures Manual, this document is provided on a fully customizable CD-ROM and contains an ACH Glossary, an overview of the ACH network and the types of entries permitted, the authorization and retention requirements for these entries, and the requirements for handling Stop Payments, Authorization Revoked, Unauthorized and Corporate returns. Additionally, it defines the handling of Government exceptions such as Death Notifications, Reclamations and Non-Receipt Requests. - Designed for financial institutions, processors, governments, corporations, and other ACH participants, this manual explains the four types of ACH payments risks, assesses the operational implications, and provides guidelines for developing an effective risk management program. - Business Check Conversion Statement Stuffers (sold in packs of 250)
- Check conversion via the ACH (ARC or POP) is becoming more and more commonplace. This statement stuffer (similar in size and design to our other consumer statement stuffers) is designed to be included in the periodic statement and explains to the consumer how checks presented in person at the point-of-purchase or dropped in a lockbox might be converted to ACH entries. It also explains how to "opt out" of check conversion if they so desire. (Item #13 on the WACHA Order Form)
- Check 21 Tool Kit
- The Check 21 legislation requires that you provide training to your staff on Check 21. To assist you with this task, WACHA has created a Check 21 Tool Kit containing all the materials you will need to effectively train your staff on Check 21 and its impact to the consumer. The kit contains charts comparing Regulation E error resolution to Check 21 error resolution, a Q&A section of those questions most commonly asked with regard to Check 21, and copies of turnkey presentations and a written test on Check 21 to use when training your personnel. - Check 21 Q&A Cards (4 cards to a set)
- Another item available from WACHA to assist you with your Check 21 education requirement is the Check 21 Q&A Cards. These cards address those questions that the consumer, as well as your retail/operations staff, will most likely need answered regarding Check 21. One card specifically addresses questions that the consumer may have with regard to Check 21. Another card addresses operational questions and issues that your staff may have. The third card describes the elements of a "substitute check" and the last card outlines the Error Resolution procedures you will have to follow if your customer should want to file an expedited re-credit claim. - Check 21 Consumer Statement Stuffers (sold in packs of 250)
- This statement stuffer is designed to educate the consumer by explaining what the Check 21 legislation is and graphically illustrating what a substitute check looks like. (Item #41 on the WACHA Order Form)
- Check 21 versus E-Check Consumer Brochures (sold in packs of 100)
- Consumers are confused regarding the difference between Check 21 and e-check applications such as ARC. This tri-fold brochure explains (in an easy to understand Q/A format) the difference between a check converted to a paper instrument (a substitute check) under Check 21 and a check converted to an ACH item (an ARC entry), as well as their rights and obligations if an error or dispute arises. - Check 21 Expedited Re-Credit Claim Forms (sold in packs of 25)
- Under the Check 21 legislation, if a customer alleges that their account was improperly charged due to a substitute check, the customer may file an Expedited Re-credit Claim form. This 3-part form accommodates the customers' claim and request for re-credit and provides space for the claimant bank and the indemnifying bank to record their actions with regard to the claim.
