NACHA’s membership approved a NACHA Operating Rule that will create a ubiquitous Same Day ACH capability across the entire ACH Network. Under the Rule, virtually all ACH transactions will be eligible for same-day processing and settlement. All financial institutions will receive Same Day ACH transactions, providing certainty to Originators that they can successfully use Same Day ACH. The Rule also provides for a balanced economic approach between ODFIs and RDFIs, so that each party to a same-day transaction benefits.
